Education
With close to 20 K-12 schools in the Lake Martin area, students are prepared to be successful, resourceful, and productive. In return, area businesses are able to benefit from the well-educated workforce. Our local vocational centers prepare high school students who are interested in technical careers. Students learn a variety of trades and also may participate in co-op programs to gain "real world" experience. These graduates have been a great asset to local businesses.

Gateway To Education
The Alexander City Chamber of Commerce recently adopted a program to enhance workforce development through education and job training initiatives that will provide qualifying students a free, two-year scholarship to Central Alabama Community College. The program will benefit any Alexander City student who meets the admission criteria, especially those who might not otherwise be able to afford to attend college or technical school, but who have the skills to move forward.
The goal of this program is to create an incentive for high school students to go one step further in training and education and to provide a higher quality of trained workers for our current and future industries and businesses.
